WEST BOWDEN FARMHOUSE ACCOMMODATION ACCESS STATEMENT |
Introduction We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based six bedroom bed and breakfast. The following is a statement summarising our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will do our best to help. |
Arrival ? We are approached by a tarmac drive well signposted from the road. ? Parking available at front of farmhouse, partly cobbled courtyard. There is ample parking. ? Assistance available with luggage if required. Main entrance ? Single gate leading to short path to front door. ? No steps to enter main hall. ? Guests escorted to rooms and facilities explained. Guest Lounge ? Guest lounge is to the left of the hallway, doorway 990mm wide. ? Firm backed chairs available as well as three piece suite which has leg rests available. ? Wide screen digital television with teletext, subtitles and remote control. Dining Room ? From the lounge a door 890mm wide leads to the dining room with a step 165mm high. ? Dining tables have firm back support chairs. ? Meals can be had in lounge or bedroom if desired. ? Special diets can be catered for with advance notice. Ground floor annexe ? An annexe room is situated to the right of the front door with separate entrance, single leaf door 1020mm wide with small step up 150mm high and 100mm deep. ? Family room, double and single bed. Another bed is available if required. ? Ensuite bathroom, handrails on bath, shaver socket. Ground floor bedroom ? To the right of the hallway a door 820mm wide with a small step down of 50mm. ? Two steps, 215mm high, 255mm deep and 760mm wide leads to ensuite bathroom, handrails on bath, shaver socket. Staircase and landing ? Staircase consisting of 11 stairs, 190mm high, 240mm deep and 1190mm wide with handrails for support on both sides leads to the first floor. ? Landing area 1195mm x 1245mm. ? To the left a long landing, step up of 230mm high leads to two bedrooms. ? To the right is one bedroom. ? From the landing area there are three steps down to a bedroom, 165mm high, 265mm deep and 760mm wide. ? There is an emergency exit down a back half spiral staircase of 9 stairs, 220mm high, 240mm deep and 1010mm wide. ? Exit signs on wall and emergency lighting. First floor bedrooms ? Three ensuite, (one with bath and two with shower rooms) and one with private bathroom. All with shaver points. ? One ensuite has a shower with step to enter of 300mm in height. ? Bedroom doors 760mm wide. ? Light switches are no more than 1370mm in height. ? Power points are no more than 1370mm in height. ? Colour televisions with teletext and subtitles in all rooms with remote control. ? Clock radios in all rooms. ? Hospitality tray provided. ? Fitted short pile carpets in all rooms. ? Chairs provided. Grounds and Gardens ? We have a small enclosed garden for visitors with bench and chair. ? Plenty of walks available, footpath nearby. ? Field available to exercise dogs. Additional information ? Owners available to assist guests. ? Pets welcome. ? Landline telephone available on ground floor. ? Mobile signal usually not available close to house but becomes available closer to main entrance nearer the road, only a short walk. ? No public transport nearby, taxi numbers can be provided if required. ? We are a no smoking home, (smoking allowed outside). ? We can accept small items of food and medication for storage in our fridge or freezer. ? Nearest town approx 10 miles away. |
